Price reduced as I have found a new bike I want!!!!
This is a very clean very pink BMW R 80/7 rt!!! It has been a really enjoyable conversion to undertake as true to BMW build quality (and it obviously being looked after) everything works how it should, all bolts undo without snapping and everything adjusts the same as it did 38 years ago...
The first port of call was to strip off about half a ton of bodywork as this was a fully faired rt. I tried to retain BMW parts if possible as long as they looked cool enough. I have reduced the height of the steering damper adjuster then drilled and re-threaded it, made a new bracket for the original clocks and dropped them as low as I could. I have shortened the original mudguard and managed to use the distinctive original fixings. I had a bespoke subframe made and powder coated for the new seat. This I set at a height ( seat height) that I considered to go with the lines I was after and is easily removable and very well made ( thanks Slav!!). Exhaust cans are new and have removable baffles but sounds nice as is and the original BMW pipes are in great condition. Oil has been changed, has had new brake pads fitted and adjusted, new battery, fork oil changed ,plugs changed and has loads of tread on the tires.
It has the sought after police tank with the little storage box , which is perfect for phone, wallet, fags and other essentials you need.
The pink paint work is excellent quality but I understand it's a bit of a marmite colour!! Love it or hate it, so I offer the option of getting the colour changed to one of your choice, for an extra fee.. I have to admit I like it, even though that's how I acquired it and was going to paint it but it's grown on me. Stands out in a crowd.....!!!It has a daytime only mot as I didnt want to clutter it up with indicators but has the wiring to take them if needed.
Rides nice, looks cool.... what more do you want!!!
