The Bike Please excuse my poor quality photos - they don't do the bike justice and it could use a clean. I'm hoping to take some better ones in the coming days - once I have them I will add to the listing.   A 1982 R80 RT, Monoshock - with twin front disc brakes. Around 60,000 miles. MOT is booked for 14th October and I will ensure it has a new MOT (to be provided to new owner) before sale - it sailed through last year. Rides beautifully, starts first time (even after 2 months without riding thanks to new YUASA battery). Gears work smoothly - rides brilliantly even at 80mph on the motorway. I have the last few MOTs, lots of receipts totalling £2,200 (details below), the V5 document, a Haynes manual and 2 original BMW keys - all included in the sale. I also have a road legal black and yellow number plate (included in the sale) but I've never had trouble with the one shown in pics.   In the spirit of describing the bike accurately - the paintwork does have a few marks in places - and could do with a touchup (a tin of Hammerite should sort this). The speedo which worked perfectly has been playing up lately (I think the wheel circumference needs to be keyed into the KOSO gauge again).   I have really loved bike and will be sad to see her go but just don't use her enough to warrant the expense. She really is a wonderful bike to ride and turns heads everywhere she goes. If you have any questions please send me a message on eBay or to 0784 330 7089. Thanks, Will.   Customisation & Work Undertaken I have receipts totalling over £2,680 spent on this bike over the last couple of years. The majority of the work below was undertaken by Cafe Racer specialists -Maitland Racing (located in Chalk Farm - London). Unless stated the cost is for parts only (labour was additional cost).
  • Subframe & hand-stitched brown leather seat - Down & Out Cafe Racers (£400)
  • Complete re-wire, new regulator, modern inline fuses fitted, ignition replaced and relocated, new headlamp, Japanese retro style switches, Renthal bars, replace master cylinder, new levers (£850 including labour - cost reduced from £950)
  • Koso multifunction digital speedo & BMW cable drive adapter - manual (£190)
  • LED tail light & rear indicators - Down & Out Cafe Racers (£45 & £80)
  • New front and rear tire fitted November 2016 - hardly ridden since then (£200)
