Spirit of the Seventies “SII”
For sale is ‘Spirit II’, built and owned by Tim at Spirit of the Seventies and then bought from Tim by me in Summer 2014.
You can see technical specs at http://www.spiritoftheseventies.co.uk/xs850-s2.html and more images at http://www.bikeexif.com/yamaha-xs750 . You can also hear the exhaust note on you tube if you click https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0hQEvH1-0U . 2 of the images are from the different photo shoots, and the rest are recent ones I've taken to show current condition.
As you can see from one of the images, S2 has also been the cover star with centre spread in Classic Motorcycle Mechanics magazine March 12 edition (and I have a mint copy you can have).
Collection of previous MOT’s available with paperwork.
Clutch replaced (genuine Yamaha parts) September 2013.
850cc engine rebuilt 2012 by Phil Lovett, Engine had 30k miles prior to rebuild.
Current mileage on new clock shows at 597 miles so you’ll need to add that to the original mileage above. Tim did also say this was a development bike so he tried out different clocks on it.
MOT expires 08/10/18
I’m rubbish with spanners so since owning I’ve had it serviced/ MOT’d annually by Exmouth Motorcycles and have only covered 597 miles so little difference from when I bought it. The only addition from me is a new battery in 2016.
I’m in Devon (nr Budleigh Salterton) and you’re welcome to come and see the bike.
