BMW R100RT Mono. H Reg 1991. Dark Gunmetal.

A solid history with this bike, my Father bought it in 1994 and rode it until 2013. It stood un-used until I took ownership in 2015. It was re-commissioned in 2016, with a brake overhaul, (new pads/shoes/pins etc) the wheels were powder coated gloss black and shod with Avon RoadRider tyres, a new Exide battery, new rear drive oil seal, plus an engine and fluid service by BMW specialist Dave Rogers (previously looked after by independent Neil Harrison and Riverside HD). Genuine 52,000 miles with lots of bills and MOT certificates. I had a plan to ride it for a while and then flat-track it. I’m never going to have the time, so here it is - a blank canvas in working order with a fresh 12 month MOT.

It deserves a strip down, surface rust in all the usual places. (See close up pics), call it patina maybe? Either way it's not been hidden or painted over, it's an honest 28 years old. The seat has been re-foamed and re-covered, it’s not a perfect job (though drilled and re-riveted properly). The inside of the fuel tank could do with a Flowliner coating and the fuel cap closes but doesn’t lock. As a 28 year old bike so there are rattles and shakes, but all pretty standard BMW eccentricities. Ride it through the summer, strip it down in the winter.

Viewing and questions welcomed. Sensible offers considered.

Located near Watlington, Oxfordshire. 20 mins from J6 on the M40. MOT until July 2020.
