Built by myself as my personal bike I have designed and handmade every part applied to this with show quality detail and such design and fit some of the modifications are at first unnoticed.
With business very busy with customer builds I have decided to sell this bike.
Starting with the base bike a 2005 BMW R1200c this was completely stripped down here at Bieda 75 and rebuilt to the stunning one off specification.
The frame was hand formed on our one of a kind engineering bench to flow gently around the engine whilst mating to the standard engine mounting points and incorporating the original headstock. The front end is Ducati Monster forks with machined yokes to adapt, the rear end has been adapted to flow with the lines also whilst still retaining the easy maintained and reliable shaft drive.
The brakes are standard R1200 with custom machined adaptors at the front, all brakes are rebuilt with braided hoses.
There are 2 sets of hand machined pegs the first mounted in standard form next to the machined leavers with the second for cruising or just looking cool.
The engine was fully inspected, detailed and serviced prior to the build and has had a further oil change since the shakedown testing, current miles are just over 10k.
Now the list of custom machined parts go from the indicators, pegs, mirrors, handlebars, various brackets, handlebar grips and so on. The one off tank was hand fabricated in steel as were the front and back mudguards and seat unit to give a one of a kind look. The show quality paintwork is listed as dark cherry red and really transforms in the sunlight.
The electrics have been reworked and hidden from plain sight, the speedo, rev counter and warning panel are now within a Koso unit housed on an adjustable bracket. The headlight is from a Harley Davidson V-Rod and the indicators are one off machined items with Led lamps replicated both front and rear.
The bike runs perfect as you would expect breathing through twin Bieda signature triple filter bellhousings and exiting through a custom exhaust with matching tips which retains the classic BMW tone but with a slightly more sporty edge.
With all the new parts and fabrication the bike has been taken through all shakedown testing as we do with all our bikes bearing in mind this was fully intended as a demonstrator showing the skills of Beida 75 as a mid range project. The machining and fabrication are close to 300 hours as well as design and rebuild far out way the cost that the bike is being advertised.
This as in it’s a one off slightly off trend as that’s what Beida 75 is about, setting the scene rather than following.
Summary, the build ethos was to not worry about man hours in the machine shop but just creation of hand crafted highest quality modifications, faultless show quality paintwork on the one off tank and fenders to create a bike that will be a talking point that is equally at home displayed at shows but ultimately designed to give exceptional ride quality that can only come from a bespoke one off that has been entirely rebuilt to the highest standard.
