With a heavy heart I've decided to sell my Sportster Scrambler, at 6'8" tall I've had to acknowledge that a Sporty is just too small for me!!! - Normal people will be fine !!!
So the bike.....
I've spent the last year modifying this 1991 HD 1200 Sporty into Scrambler Spec - It rides well and the engine pulls very strongly - I've listed below all the stuff I've done - and TBH have probably forgotten some stuff
The bike is showing 24,000 miles - but the MOT history shows a 10k jump in 2007 - The previous owner assured me he had replaced the speedo due to a fault with a second hand unit which had 10k more showing, so it's either 24k since 1990 when first registered or 14k!! - TBH the condition of the frame and cycle parts and the way it runs and rides would point towards the lower number.... but at this age - it's condition over mileage every time

Solenoid starter as a "back up" ( This is a common HD modification - i can explain if you do not understand)

lots of either polished or wiped Alloy - ( To be honest i love the Alloy - Mudguards/Engine etc - it gives me pleasure just cleaning it)
MOT till 21/5/20 from when it first hit the road last year
After i finished the build i took it to my "independent" HD guy who looks after my other Harley for a "PDI" - he spent two hours going over it !! and only picked up I’d put the Handle Bar clamp on the wrong way round !!
So, how much......
