Yamaha SR500 Custom built by Volts Mechanix.

  I purchased the bike in 2015 on an impulse buy thinking i would do my test. i have done my CBT twice since then and still haven't done my test. The Bike has been sitting in the shed since i bought it and i can't see myself doing my test anymore, so its finally time to let it go and be used like it should be.   The bike was originally imported as a standard SR500 from switzerland by volts mechanix in 2012. They then built it into what it is today as a show bike which has featured in several magazines https://pipeburn.com/79-yamaha-sr500-volts-mechanix/ the bike has never been ridden on the road and as everything has been rebuilt it basically has 0 miles.   Im not 100% sure exactly what year the bike is, as there is conflicting information. Volts put it as 1979 but frame number/Dvla/import paperwork say 1991.   I have had some work done to the bike to make it road legal and to get it running right for road use. it has an mot till october 2023.   any questions, please feel free to contact me
