Unfortunately I have to let it go due to me traveling later in the year. - it's up on ebay - starting at 1£, no reserve, collection between 03 and 09.09.
Letting go of my Dominator. This is the last production year of the Domi and its best version. I purchased it in 2015 and rode it to the south of France within a week. I have modified it over the years, making it run better and much more reliable and than it did on that first run to France .
It is a real head turner. Runs super smooth. Looks a little rough around the edges - bit of Mad Max. I have loved every minute of riding it, but it is time to let it go. I just don’t get enough time for it.
Honda Dominator - first registered 2002 - so one of the last ones made model year 2000. It has been rewired with Motogadet M.Unitv2 at its core by Steve Hallam in London - the best in the Uk when it comes to Motogadget.
The original carb was replaced with a Mikuni TM 40 FLATSLIDE Racing Carburettor. The custom exhaust was done by Untitled in London, with 2x small end pipes. Original electric starter with Motogadget lock / fob & hidden start button.
Hel brake lines front and back, Rental Handle bar & grips. Led rear light. Motogadget indicators. The tank replaced with a custom steel tank ( based on the XT500 tank ).
The frame has not been modified in any way - except for cutting off the small brackets for the original tank, to make the new one fit.
The bike has been regularly serviced - last 3 years by Bikers World in East Grindstead. The Mikuni Carburettor enhanced performance greatly. It starts flawlessly even in cold and runs much smoother than the factory version. I have left the airbox original as it makes the bike run much better in the rain.
The bike was purchased in 2015 in original condition and customised. Since the rewiring it has been absolutely flawlessly reliable. It is a real head turner in town and very comfortable on long journeys.
I have used the bike as a daily runner. I have traveled to France and Spain with it. Seat needs a little tlc. It is not a polished show bike. Its been a regular runner. It currently has a Malle bag, which will come with the bike.
The bike is currently in East Sussex, but frequently in London. A viewing could be arranged in town if that is more convenient than Sussex ( near Tunbridge Wells ) for example at the Bike Shed.
A word on Honda Dominators. I searched far and wide for a decent one in 2015 and finally went to Scotland to get this one. Many of the kick start versions have trouble starting. The later electric start models ( like this one ) are rare. The electrics can be very sketchy on all of them. This one was too before the complete rewire.
This is the very last year of the Dominators. The best version of it with only modifications that increase its reliability.
I have complete confidence in the bike. I am going to give a 6 month warranty on the electrics. Should anything not be as it should be, I will pay for the repair at Steve Hallam in London ( not including transport there and back ).
